Introducing Zargus, an up-and-coming male pop and rap artist who grew up around New York City amongst talented musicians and actors. He was immersed in the Broadway scene at a young age where he learned to sing and perform on a professional level. He began creating his own music at age 16, releasing his first single on April 16th, 2020. Zargus produces pop, experimental, and rap music as an independent artist. In addition to making music, Zargus’ acting career started when he was just 7. He has performed in several Broadway shows (Chaplin, Big Fish, Newsies) and is currently working as a recurring guest star on Showtime’s Billions. He was also a regular on the CW show, Containment, and guest-starred on The Blacklist, season 7. Zargus’ first experience in music and acting was performing in an off-Broadway reproduction of a Stephen Sondheim classic musical, Merrily We Roll Along starring Lin Manuel Miranda (Hamilton). Lin was an inspiration and role model and Zargus is grateful to have had him in his life from such a young age. He was also part of the reason that Zargus started developing an interest in freestyling and rap music, which eventually turned into something that he wanted to take more seriously.

He describes his music as experimental with mostly pop influences. but with time he plans on establishing a new, unique sound for the ear that spans genres. His sound and beats are melodically matched with a freestyle flow. This unique style is a blend of many artists who have inspired him over his career. Zargus’ intention is to help raise conscious awareness through his music and lyrics. The current vibe of the place and the energy around have a great effect on his production. He connects with his listeners and writes songs to relay messages that invoke deeper thought and reflection. By carefully crafting an emotional experience within his songs, he is able to more fully resonate with his listeners. Emotion is a critical aspect of his music and he feels that if it is not ignited in the listener, then a song will never feel special.

Zargus’ main inspirations are Juice WRLD, The Kid Laroi, and Polo G. He finds that these artists face their problems through their music and are able to drive an emotional experience from it. Creating music for Zargus is therapy because after writing and making a song, his heart feels lighter and he has exposed his feelings. Zargus has bigger plans inside and outside of his music as he currently is in New Orleans in college studying philosophy and cognitive studies. He is working on his album called “Digital Psychosis” which is due to be released soon. The name of this album is inspired by the arising information on the Meta-verse and how it can impact us today. Zargus aims to continue to release singles with new videos on all platforms.
