Deborah, known by her stage name, is Aquarius according to her birthdate. She is originally from Bangalore, India; however, she now resides in Hong Kong. She loves jumping from one genre to another in song compositions. However, she always keeps a unique and different taste in her music. From a young age, Deborah wished to sing her own made songs but was not trained to sing. She told her aunt about her eagerness and wished to sing her own composed songs. Then her aunt encouraged her to sing by telling her that the Beatles never wrote a note of music. From this day onwards, the singer started composing her songs.
Later, she learned that many great artists didn’t have a music education like her.
For Deborah, success in the music industry is achieved when the audience admires her songs and their lyrics. Moreover, when the listeners start mentioning your name among other renowned artists. She also believes that you achieve success by keeping up with your efforts and constantly bringing out the best by working with great musicians. She thinks that success is not always connected with fame and fortune.
One of the lyrics from her songs that goes like ” Mother, are you scared” is the one that Deborah finds great. Her songs are entirely connected to her feelings for a particular matter. Her latest song s related to mental illness issues and will be a new kind of song representing the importance of mental health care.
One of this singer’s accomplishments is the opportunity to compose and produce music with some of the most renowned artists residing in Hong Kong. Along with achievements, there came a time when she had to give live performances during the time the Covid Lockdown. It was a difficult task because composing a piece of music and then promoting it in such a difficult time when everything was tightly scheduled was a great challenge for her.
Composing and singing songs is a hobby and need of the artist. she thinks music is the best platform to convey motivational and inspirational messages to the listeners. She also finds this practice a joyful and relieving method for stress issues.
Deborah recommends that young and new artists always learn from others, whether it may be related to composing songs or performing them on stage. Moreover, she suggests they should be multiskilled and create music of various genres that are not fixed to a monotonous style.
In future, Deborah plans to go on a singing journey on a World tour.
FROM THE WHY
VERSE 1
I’m too tired to stumble on the memory of you
yoked across my shoulders
I’m too tired to wrestle with the memory of you
comforting and constricting
in un-equal measures
falling down / Falling down
I wake up screaming, hands reached out
No! No! you never stop, I never win
this pain won’t leave me
I’m on my own
CHOROUS
you broke yourself in silence
crushed me under lies
driving me scared and weak
you broke yourself in silence
Trapped in your disguise
hiding me from the why, from the why
VERSE 2
The shadows tempt me
circling my mind
Whispering to my darker self
to follow them, to follow them
You’re not forgiven, from the why
CHOROUS
you broke yourself in silence
crushed me under lies
driving me scared and weak
you broke yourself in silence
Trapped in your disguise
hiding me from the why, from the why
BRIDGE
My flame I know the truth now
you couldn’t fight yourself
I’ll love you from my prison
inside this living hell / this living hell
CHOROUS
you broke yourself in silence
crushed me under lies
driving me scared and weak
you broke yourself in silence
Trapped in your disguise
hiding me from the why
you broke yourself in silence
crushed me under lies
driving me scared and weak
you broke yourself in silence
Trapped in your disguise
hiding me from the why, from the why
