Jack Benjamin Ayrey (born May 17, 1998) better known by his stage name Benj is a British rapper and songwriter. Hailing from Germany but moved to Switzerland in 2002. He is an independent artist.
Started writing when he turned on the suggestion of his friends, stepped into a music studio & recorded something around 2018. Delivering his first Album on January 25, 2020, named ‘Dreams to Reality,’ Benj has been continually putting out tracks from that point onward. His main genre of music is Hip-hop and some other Sub-Genres from Drill & Aggressive stuff to more relaxed & Chilled-out kinds of vibes.
Benj basically just kept it simple & shortened his middle name, ever since then all his tracks are released under his Stage name.
He describes his music as a mix of emotions & feelings. He was currently going through with each song; he stays true to his words & makes sure he keeps his music as authentic as possible.
His creative process involves going heavy off vibes so whatever he’s feeling that day or when the beat hits him, that’s what he writes down. Whether he’s currently going through something personally & if it fits, he’ll add it into the song as a method of process.
Benj just loves making music & spreading it through the world as much as he can. Growing up in Switzerland however can have its ups and downs as much as people wouldn’t want to believe that.
His inspiration to make music comes from the fact is a way of processing what he was going through mentally at that time. Writing songs has helped him through so much that he honestly thinks he will continue to do so until he passes on.
People can expect a bunch of new music, content, and videos. Benj is currently working on perfecting his craft as much as possible & pushing his boundaries as far as he can. He’s got an album planned to come out by the end of the year with a lot of new music in it. He also plans to make a couple more Music Videos soon so stay tuned, and he will keep working hard to reach the stage that few do.
